We are seeking an Apprentice Alignment Technician. The Apprentice Alignment Technician will learn the skills needed for inspecting, diagnosing, and correcting alignment and suspension issues to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety. This includes aligning wheels, axles, frames, and steering components using precision alignment equipment and performing related repairs as needed. The role also involves mounting and balancing tires, conducting vehicle inspections, and completing general service work. The technician utilizes specialized tools and equipment to restore proper alignment, maintain vehicle performance, and deliver quality service to every customer. The ideal candidate will be detailed driven, accountable, customer centric and a team player with a strong work ethic to contribute to the department goals and achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automotive vehicles using alignment equipment and manufacturer specifications.
- Drives vehicles onto alignment racks and conducts tests to identify issues such as faulty alignments, bent axles, worn ball joints, and damaged steering components.
- Performs necessary repair and adjustment work based on diagnostic findings.
- Mounts and dismounts tires; balances wheels using a balancing machine and installs counterweights to ensure smooth operation.
- Conducts miscellaneous diagnostic and service work, including state inspections, installation of shock absorbers, lubrication services, and basic tune-ups.
- Straightens vehicle frames using hydraulic jacks, chassis aligners, and acetylene torches as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and adheres to all company and safety standards.

- Diagnoses alignment, suspension, and steering issues efficiently and determines effective repair solutions.

- Requires adherence to all safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repairs.
- Vast knowledge of tire installation, wheel balance, diagnosing ride disturbances. Growing knowledge of steering & suspension, vehicle maintenance
- Proficient with automotive repair tools and equipment, including wheel alignment racks, tire changers, wheel balancers, hydraulic jacks, and basic welding and testing tools.
- Valid Drivers’ Licenses
