POSITION DESCRIPTION – Pilot In Command B300/350 OCONUS

Job Title: Pilot In Command B300/350 OCONUS (Rotational)

Reports to: Director of Flight Operations

Classification: Exempt

Time Commitment: Full-time Rotational SOUTHCOM AOR’s

Position Summary

The B300/350 Pilot-in-Command position is overall responsible for the safe execution of an ISR flight within the USSOUTHCOM AOR in accordance with approved Flight and Operations Procedures, applicable host nation rules and Federal Aviation Regulations, the safe and efficient operation of the airplane in all weather, day and night, and all mission preparation: includes, but not limited to, preflight, flight planning, performance planning, weight and balance, fuel planning and post flight. Additionally, other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

The USSOUTHCOM Flight environment presents austere, often dangerous, flight. This position requires experienced, mature and professional ISR Pilots that will operate on a rotational schedule which will be determined in the near term.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate with the Chief Pilot for crew staffing, scheduling and personnel management, ensuring department staffing and training is adequate for planned operational tempos and required mission support.

• Provide OCONUS site oversight of; mission briefings, mission management, crew equipment management, safety program implementation, flight department data tracking, and operations specifications management.

• Conducting flight operations as Pilot in Command, Second in Command and Instructor Pilot, as required.

• Operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, service guidance, corporate policies and procedures and FOP’s/GOP’s.

• Ensure flight operations are performed in a safe and professional manner.

• Communicate respectfully to other team members and customers.

• Produce required reports, briefs, safety management, aircraft upkeep, fueling and documenting aircraft discrepancies for maintenance review and correction.

• Assist with additional duties as needed to achieve company goals and customer requirements.

• Mentor new personnel.

• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Working knowledge of applicable FAA rules, regulations, standards and FOP’s/GOP’s.

• Attention to detail and ability to complete required reports on a timely basis.

• Ability to work in a collegial manner with company employees, vendors, and customers.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship.

• Must possess a current U.S. passport.

• Must possess an FAA Class II Medical.

• Must possess a Commercial MEL Pilot’s license, ATP preferred.

• Must possess a type rating in the operational aircraft or similar aircraft.

• Must possess at minimum SECRET level security clearance and complete pre-deployment training in a timely manner and in accordance with U.S. government standards.

• Ability to successfully pass a drug test.

• Pilots must have at least 3,000 hours of total time with 2000 hours of multi-engine fixed wing PIC time and 500 hours in required type or similar type aircraft.

• Former Active DoD or U.S. Government contractor ISR experience preferred but not required.

• Instructor Pilot or Standardization Pilot preferred but not required.

• Prior OCONUS rotational experience.

Travel

• Travel and rotational deployment throughout the United States and locations outside of the United States, including austere locations, is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including austere conditions.

• Ability to wear respirator or other required safety equipment.

• Ability to work in confined spaces.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
