We are looking for an experienced Surveillance Lead to support the daily operations of our Surveillance Department. This position plays a key role in protecting casino guests, team members, and assets by monitoring gaming and non-gaming activity, identifying irregular or suspicious conduct, and helping ensure compliance with Pennsylvania gaming regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate is observant, discreet, technically proficient, and prepared to guide surveillance team members in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment.

This position will report directly to the Surveillance Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring gaming and non-gaming areas through the closed-circuit television system to protect guests, team members, and company assets.
  • Directing and supporting surveillance activity during the assigned shift, including prioritizing observations, responding to requests, and escalating significant incidents.
  • Identifying and reporting suspected cheating, theft, fraud, safety hazards, policy violations, and other unusual or unlawful activity.
  • Reviewing live and recorded video in support of investigations, gaming disputes, regulatory inquiries, and operational requests.
  • Preparing clear, accurate, and timely reports, logs, and supporting documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Assisting with the training, coaching, and development of Surveillance Operators on equipment, procedures, gaming activity, and reporting standards.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board requirements, internal controls, company policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Coordinating professionally with Security, Gaming Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments while preserving the independence and confidentiality of surveillance operations.
  • Performing routine checks of surveillance equipment and promptly reporting system or camera issues.
  • Assuming shift leadership responsibilities in the absence of Surveillance management and performing other duties as assigned.
  • The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of surveillance, gaming operations, security, loss prevention, investigations, or closely related experience; prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of casino games, gaming procedures, internal controls, and surveillance practices.
  • Proficiency with CCTV and digital video systems, computers, and standard office applications.
  • Strong observation, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed and objective incident reports.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • The ability to sit for prolonged periods and work in a surveillance room with multiple monitors and low lighting.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

    Casino employees may be required to obtain and maintain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. The cost of the license is covered by Happy Valley Casino.
