About the Role

TaxSlayer is seeking Technical Support Specialists to join our seasonal support team for the upcoming 2026 tax season. This is a 100% remote position starting in December 2026, supporting customers who use our TaxSlayer Pro software.

In this role, you’ll assist customers with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software and hardware issues. You’ll work with networks, firewalls, antivirus programs, printers, and connectivity settings. Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers via phoneAssist with installation and configuration of TaxSlayer Pro productsTroubleshoot networks, printers, scanners, antivirus, and firewall programsGuide customers through server and network setupMaintain strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communicationResearch and resolve complex technical issues

Job Requirements

Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systemsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to multitask across various software platformsComfortable presenting technical information to clientsWillingness to work extended or flexible hours, including weekends during tax season

Scheduling Details

Shifts range from 6 to 8 hoursHours of operation:Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM ESTSaturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Average weekly hours: 25 to 50Competitive hourly pay at $17.00/hourSeasonal position runs through February or March 2027Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a technical support or help desk role

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldCertifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)Military experience in IT-related MOS (e.g., 25B Bravo)
