Water Jet Operator in Midland, North Carolina at DRT Holdings, LLC

Are you a skilled Water Jet Operator who takes pride in producing high-precision parts? We're looking for a motivated Water Jet Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, inspection, and maintenance of water jet cutting equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate water jet cutting equipment to produce precision-cut parts per engineering specifications.
• Adjust machine settings and monitor performance to ensure efficient, accurate production.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and prints to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, seal changes, and general upkeep.
• Troubleshoot equipment or cutting issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Load and handle materials safely using overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to support production schedules and workflow.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating water jet cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Experience measuring and inspecting parts to print using standard inspection tools.
• Knowledge of water jet safety procedures and best practices.
• Familiarity with water jet nozzles, cutting parameters, and material applications.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting.
• Experience using overhead cranes or other material-handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
• Ability to work around machinery in a manufacturing environment while following all safety protocols.
