Sonographer - OB/GYN Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Sonographer for our OB/GYN Clinic as we continue to grow. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: The OB/GYN and Pediatrics Clinic at CMH delivers seamless care, from women’s health and maternity care to newborn and pediatric services. The clinic offers a comfortable setting for patients to receive complete pregnancy care, 3D/4D ultrasounds, infertility testing and treatment, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and more.

A typical day will include: Preparing patients for exams, operating sonographic equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with other healthcare providers and team members to provide caring, individualized treatment to our patients.

• Interviews patients to gather medical history, explains the ultrasound process, and ensures physical and emotional comfort during exams
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations appropriate to patients' ages and treatment plans
• Positions patients during examinations to assure optimal imaging has been achieved; re-images as necessary
• Documents findings and ensures images are properly recorded

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program - RDMS certification (Abdomen, OBGYN, and RVT) preferred
• Experience: 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered
• Skills: Patient care, attention to detail, teamwork, communication
• Licensure/Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers
• Physical: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending

This position is: PRN - 20 hours every 2 weeks.
