Job Description

We’re looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse who is excited to support RRH’s mission, organizational goals, quality standards, and commitment to patient-centered care. In this role, you’ll help ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients during scheduled clinics, provide nursing support within a team-based primary care environment, and work collaboratively with clinic, office, contract, and volunteer staff.

You’ll serve insured and uninsured children and/or adults, with special attention to individuals who experience barriers to accessing care due to income, language, cultural, or social factors. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the mission and goals of RRH, organizational quality, and patient-centered care.

  • Incorporate RRH’s core organizational values of quality, respect, integrity, partnership, and compassion into activities and decisions.

  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

  • Help ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients during scheduled clinics through joint planning and problem-solving with clinic, office, contract, and volunteer staff.

  • Function as an LVN within a team-based, patient-centered primary care clinic serving insured and uninsured children and/or adults.

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including team members, patients, volunteers, students, visitors, and vendors.

  • Protect the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of patients and their families, as well as co-workers and others.

  • Work in other departments as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Current LVN licensure to practice in California

  • One year of medical office experience preferred

  • BLS certification required and maintained thereafter

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language

  • Ability to understand principles of asepsis and sterilization

  • Knowledge of the use of the electronic medical record

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Demonstrated maturity and capability for careful judgment

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and coworkers
