Position Summary

Responsible for the packaging and fulfilment of our online, nationwide shipping and wholesale orders in accordance with our packing specifications. Support the packing efficiently package baked goods for nationwide shipping, wholesale channel and local store support. Uphold the core values of Magnolia Bakery and our mission statement while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality and customer service standards.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure all baked goods, merchandise, supplies, and other items are packed according to company specifications for nationwide shipping orders.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to packages for shipping.
  • Maintain various equipment that includes, but is not limited to: labeling machine, shrink-wrap machine, tape machine…etc.
  • Responsible for set up of the production facility which includes cleaning, organizing, storing documents and general upkeep.
  • Responsible for the organization of freezers to assist end-of-week inventory counting.
  • Maintain proper storage of various skus by monitoring dates and implementing proper FIFO (first in, first out) systems.
  • Work closely with their direct production manager and head of production to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or product that fail to meet company standards.

Work Environment

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle equipment, tools, or food products.

  • Push or pull carts, racks, and equipment.
  • Work in refrigerated, freezer, and hot production environments.

  • Exposure to kitchen equipment, ovens, mixers, and cleaning chemicals.

  • May require working mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00. Placement within this range will be based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. Magnolia Bakery is committed to providing fair, competitive, and equitable compensation. Final offers may vary based on the unique qualifications of each candidate and applicable laws.
