Inventory Control Specialist in Cambridge City, Indiana at Dot Foods

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible formaintaining accurate inventories in the warehouse management and iSeries computer systems. Also, recovers lost or found product back into the system.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Reviews and researches any product quantity discrepancies that occur during the receiving, storing, shipping and delivery of product
• Prepares slot count materials
• Proactively identifies and adjusts inventory discrepancies, as appropriate, to avoid service level issues
• Reviews other assigned discrepancies
• Administers training on specialist and clerk functions, as needed
• Handles all office duties independently, as needed
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree
• Proficient math skills
• Basic competency in Microsoft programs: Outlook, Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Bachelors Degree
• Previous work experience in Inventory Control, Accounting, Accounts
• Receivable, Warehouse or other Admin functions

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Fixed Schedule: 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM
• Environment: Warehouse environment with temperature extremes ranging from 5 degrees in frozen to ambient temperatures in dry.
• Extensive use of Microsoft Software and AS400
• Email and phone communication with Peers, Leadership, Transportation and Warehouse Teams
  
• Some flexibility available with start time.
  

• Job Demands: Regular physical activity, including lifting 60 pounds repetitively as needed, operation of Warehouse machinery including operating at heights,occasional work outside of regular schedule to meet deadlines and vacation coverage.
