Pay Range $41.19-$58.37*

Job Summary:

A Registered Nurse in the Cancer Treatment Center delivers specialized, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Strong emphasis is on psychosocial support through patient teaching and interpersonal communication. This nurse interacts with a population of chronically ill, long-term patients and must perform technical skills repeatedly with scrupulous attention to detail. Patience and a sense of humor are critical to patient/staff relationships. Also serves in a consultant role to nurses providing oncology services in an inpatient setting. Due to the isolated nature of clinic practice, demonstration of ongoing professional growth is mandatory.

Education & Credentials

• Required: Current N.Y.S. RN license

• Required: Active BLS certification (must maintain throughout employment)

• Required: ONS certification within 90 days of position start date

• Preferred: OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification

• Desirable: ACLS certification

Experience & Clinical Skills

• Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of Medical-Surgical, CCU, ED, or other relevant nursing experience.

• Specialty Experience: Oncology experience is highly preferred and will be prioritized during the interview process.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with intravenous insertion and accessing venous access devices.

• Ages Served: Comprehensive knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, with the ability to individualize plans and delivery of care.
