Position Summary
J-Star Motion is seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join our team. This position is responsible for powder coating parts on the production line while ensuring quality standards, safety requirements, and production goals are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have previous powder coating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot coating system issues.
Essential Responsibilities
Verify correct paint matches the tag and work order on the production line.
Perform color changes according to work order specifications.
Verify and adjust powder coat gun settings as needed.
Ensure all coated parts meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of powder coating experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the powder coating system.
Manual dexterity and physical strength required to perform job duties.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing production needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
