Nurse Assistant (NA) in Stockton, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) is hiring a Nurse Assistant to join our Stockton Long Term Care Facility in Stockton, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status Options: Full-time, Part-time, and PRN (Per Requested Need)
• Work Shift Options: Days, Evenings, Nights or even Rotating
  • These shift options apply once you have completed the CNA class, taken the exam, and advanced into a CNA role. CNA class will be held during the day
• Hours: Varies by shift
• Shift Differential: $1- $3 additional (depending on shift)

What Your Day Looks Like: As a Nurse Assistant, you will begin by receiving paid training and attending CNA classes through Citizens Memorial Hospital. After completing the class, you will have the opportunity to take the Missouri CNA exam. (While CMH does not guarantee exam results, successful completion of the test allows you to advance into a CNA role automatically.)

During training, you will be building skills in:

• Learning to obtain and record vital signs and key measurements, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, pain scale, height, and weight
• Learning the fundamentals of bathing, grooming, and hygiene support, including bed baths, showers, oral care, nail care, and hair care
• Learning effective communication techniques for interacting with patients, families, and nursing staff
• Building competency in maintaining a safe, clean patient environment, including making occupied and unoccupied beds
• Practicing fallprevention and environmental safety techniques to protect patients
• Developing basic documentation and reporting skills appropriate for the CNA role

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma (preferred).

Experience: None! We provide on-the-job training for those looking to obtain their CNA.

Skills: Good Communication, attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.

Licensure/Certification: Attend and pass a CNA course with 4 months of employment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
