JOB DESCRIPTION
The Training Center is seeking a Social Media & Marketing Manager to lead our social media growth and support broader marketing efforts that drive our brand and student enrollment. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role owns the strategy, content creation, and day-to-day management of all our social channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook), while also playing a key role in campaign development and support across our full marketing mix.
The ideal candidate is an expert in social media marketing and content creation, with a natural talent for brand building and storytelling. They know how to turn a student's journey, a program milestone, or an industry impact story into content that stops the scroll. They understand the nuances of every major social media platform, know how to speak to vastly different audiences (from students to B2B partners), and can back their creative marketing instincts with strong social analytics. Beyond social media, this person brings a strong marketing foundation and is ready to support email, nurture campaigns, website CMS, and paid media initiatives as we grow.
This role is approximately 75% social media strategy and content creation, and 25% marketing campaign support and execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Strategy & Growth: Own the direction and growth of The Training Center's social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Develop and execute a social media marketing strategy that builds brand awareness, drives engagement, and supports conversion goals.
Social Content Creation & Storytelling: Create engaging, platform-native social media content that brings our brand, our students' stories, and our impact on the skilled trades industry to life. Develop segmented content and messaging tailored to different audiences.
Proactively work across multiple stakeholders to film content.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively work across multiple stakeholders to film video content. Confidently drive collaboration with instructors on industry trends and point-of-view perspectives that position them as thought leaders and experts in the skilled trades space
Paid Social & Analytics: Manage paid social strategy, including boosting, sponsorships, and budget optimization. Use social analytics to continuously guide content and channel strategy, identifying what's working and where to invest.
Influencer & Partnerships: Identify, build, and manage relationships with social media influencers and partner communities to extend our reach and credibility with target audiences.
Marketing Campaigns & Channel Support: Support the Director of Marketing in leading marketing campaigns and executing initiatives across the full media mix of owned, earned, and paid channels. Manage email and nurture campaigns, support website edits and CMS updates, conduct market research, and assist with paid media efforts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
● 5-7 Years of Social Media & Marketing Experience: Strong, hands-on experience growing social media channels and creating marketing content that drives high engagement and conversion.
● Platform Expertise: Expert-level marketing experience with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook required, including a deep understanding of how content strategy differs by channel.
● Content & Video Creation Skills: Strong experience with social media content editing tools, as well as social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite or similar).
● Paid Social Expertise: Strong experience with social advertising, boosting, sponsorships, influencer partnerships, and other paid social strategies, with an understanding of optimizing spend for ROI.
● Audience-Segmentation: Proven ability to create segmented content and messaging for different audience types, from younger demographics to B2B decision-makers.
● Marketing Foundation: Strong marketing foundation. Experience in email marketing, automation/ESP tools, nurture and targeted campaigns, CMS platforms, and marketing analytics.
● Influencer Relations: Experience identifying, reaching, and building relationships with influencers and partnerships for sponsored content.
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing preferred.
