Armed Campus Security Officer in Charlotte, North Carolina at Dynamic Integrated Security Inc

Compensation: Up to $26.00 per hour

Position Overview
Dynamic Integrated Security is seeking an experienced Armed School Security Officer to provide security services at a school campus in Charlotte, NC.
The selected professional will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, observing campus activity, addressing security concerns, and supporting established emergency and safety procedures. This role requires maturity, situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to interact appropriately with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other security personnel.

Candidates with an active or retired law enforcement background who meet the applicable LEOSA requirements are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide security coverage throughout the assigned school property.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other designated locations.
• Conduct scheduled foot patrols and maintain awareness of campus activity.
• Identify and appropriately address potential safety or security concerns.
• Respond to incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, security personnel, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and firearms qualifications.
• Follow company policies, site-specific procedures, and applicable safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• LEOSA / HR218 qualification or eligibility under 18 U.S.C. §§ 926B / 926C.
• Current firearms qualification completed within the previous 12 months, when required.
• Valid North Carolina Armed Security Guard Registration Card.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Law enforcement
o Military service
o Corrections
o Security
o Emergency response
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Sound judgment and the ability to remain professional during challenging situations.
• Ability to walk, stand, patrol, and remain active for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.

Experience That May Be Helpful

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
• K-12 or school-based security
• Law enforcement or public safety
• Emergency or crisis response
• Crowd or event security
• Incident documentation
• First aid or emergency medical response

• Employment is subject to successful completion of the required background screening, verification of firearms eligibility, and compliance with applicable licensing and legal requirements.
