Job Summary
The Auto Body Technician repairs collision-damaged vehicles and restores them to pre-accident condition using OEM repair procedures, industry standards, and approved repair plans. This role performs structural and non-structural repairs, component replacement, fit and finish work, and quality checks while meeting production expectations. The technician is responsible for completing safe, accurate, and timely repairs that support customer satisfaction and repair quality.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Inspect damaged vehicles and review the approved repair plan before beginning work.
Perform structural and non-structural body repairs in accordance with OEM procedures.
Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall damaged vehicle components and body panels.
Make appropriate repair-versus-replace recommendations based on safety, quality, and repair procedures.
Perform measuring, pulling, welding, metal repair, panel alignment, and related body operations as qualified.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and on-time production expectations.
Communicate additional damage or repair concerns to the estimator or production team.
Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and a safe and organized work area.

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of professional auto body repair experience in the collision repair industry required.
Strong knowledge of OEM repair procedures and manufacturer-specific repair requirements.
Working knowledge of I-CAR repair standards and accepted collision repair methods.
Experience with structural and non-structural repair, panel replacement, welding, and vehicle disassembly/reassembly.
Ability to read and follow repair plans, estimates, and OEM procedures.
Strong commitment to repair quality, safety, productivity, and continued learning.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to safely operate collision repair equipment.
