Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attention to detail, time management, and physical labor are essential in this role and requires close collaboration with multiple groups and staff including but limited Office Services, IT, Conference Services, Building Security & management, and external vendors.
Mail Services
Assists with incoming and outgoing mail service.
Employs third party software and designated equipment to process, sort, distribute and track inbound and outbound mail and packages; assists customers with mail services and completion of proper documentation; explains services/regulations and restrictions and suggests appropriate carrier to meet customers requirements; assists with mail/package deliveries throughout office space as needed; meters OG USPS and records assigned expenses accordingly; resupplies components on the mail meter and related equipment as necessary.
Wraps, seals, weighs, outgoing mail and parcels.
Maintains a clean and organized working environment.
Dusts and cleans surfaces, floors, and machinery throughout mailroom and convenience copy areas and reports necessary work orders and/or matters of interest.
Organizes supplies throughout office space and performs daily audit of convenience copy room inventories; assists customers with supplies for mailroom, copiers, and self-service area.
Performs daily delivery runs to local facilities including FedEx, UPS, and US Post Office.
Conference Room Setup and Break Down
Preparing conference rooms and multi-functional spaces for meetings and events by arranging tables and chair and moving furniture
Facilities/Office Services
Packing, moving/rearranging supplies and furniture and other services as needed throughout the office.
Escort (vendors, contractors, visitors) within the firms secure office space.
Organizational: Ability to sort mail efficiently and maintain an organized workspace.
Detail-Oriented: Crucial for accurate sorting, data entry, and ensuring correct postage and labeling.
Communication: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal ability essential for interacting with both internal and external clients.
Technical: Proficiency with computers, scanners, and mailroom equipment like postage meters and specialized software.
Physical: Ability to lift and move mail containers and packages (sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.)
Administrative: Capable of performing related tasks like data entry, inventory management, and troubleshooting.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One year or more of general office experience
Preferred:
Law firm experience

The target salary range for this role is:
$50,000 - $63,000 if located in Washington, D.C.Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
