Shift: Days

Status: Full-time

Compensation: $21.00 — $26.00

Position Summary

Assist in providing basic holistic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Performs safe, effective and efficient basic nursing care in keeping with the patient's age-specific needs in a time-effective manner.
  • Observes patient's condition and reports changes to licensed nursing personnel. Responds to call lights to determine patient needs, safely intervenes and relays information to the appropriate nursing personnel. Observes patients in restraints, suicidal precautions.
  • Collects capillary and venous specimens from inpatients assuring correct identity of the patient using aseptic techniques; handles patients efficiently and professionally
  • Documents appropriate information on patient flow charts.
  • Maintains patient rooms and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintains knowledge base and annual competencies.
  • Collaborates with co-workers by sharing relevant information, demonstrating initiative, supporting team decisions and the work life of the department.

Qualifications

  • Must have CNA/PCT Certification
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1(+) year of experience
