This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Global Medical Education & Training - Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Interventions (TMTI) based in United States.
The Director, Global Medical Education & Training will lead the strategic development and delivery of comprehensive education programs supporting transcatheter mitral and tricuspid interventions worldwide. This role will shape training for health care providers, clinicians, and internal field teams, with a strong focus on safe, effective, and compliant use of advanced cardiovascular therapies. You will serve as a global education leader, partnering with physicians, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams across medical, clinical, marketing, regulatory, legal, quality, and R&D functions. The position combines global curriculum strategy, digital learning innovation, clinical education, and organizational capability building. You will also guide a distributed education network, manage budgets, and use performance data to continuously improve training effectiveness. The Director will own the global medical education and training strategy for TMTI therapies, ensuring programs are clinically rigorous, scalable, compliant, and aligned with strategic business and educational objectives.
- Develop and deliver foundational product and therapy education programs for global commercial and field teams, clearly distinguishing clinical and product knowledge from selling skills.
- Lead global launch training initiatives and coordinate with regional enablement teams to localize education while maintaining consistent global standards.
- Design non-promotional, clinically focused education programs for physicians and allied health professionals in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry codes.
- Partner with regional teams to support effective execution of global external education programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with global key opinion leaders to support peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, and proctoring programs.
- Define standardized global curricula aligned with product instructions for use, regulatory requirements, and clinical best practices.
- Lead the development of agile, on-demand learning solutions, including train-the-trainer programs, virtual simulations, modular e-learning, immersive technologies, and scalable digital learning frameworks.
- Establish governance processes and SOPs for global training and education programs while supporting compliance across global and regional requirements.
- Monitor learner feedback, competency assessments, adoption metrics, and compliance audits to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and manage education budgets, including forecasting and supporting annual planning cycles.
- Develop talent and strengthen capabilities across the global training and education network, including succession planning.
- Anticipate future field capability needs and help develop talent pipelines that support both short- and long-term organizational priorities.
- Optimize performance measures, development initiatives, and people resources to address evolving business and clinical education needs.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical foundation, extensive medical education or clinical training experience, and the leadership skills required to design and scale global programs within a MedTech or healthcare environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong clinical background with substantial understanding of cardiovascular therapies and interventional procedures.
- 8–10+ years of experience in medical education, clinical training, or related roles within MedTech or healthcare.
- Proven experience designing and implementing global training and education programs.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and developing relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Deep understanding of cardiovascular therapies and interventional procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across medical, clinical, commercial, regulatory, legal, quality, R&D, and regional teams.
- Experience developing scalable curricula and learning solutions across different markets is highly valuable.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- Cath Lab and/or Interventional Cardiology experience is preferred.
