Job Description

Join the WCS Team

At WCS, our people make the difference. We’re looking for individuals who share our commitment to Respect, Justice, Integrity, and the Pursuit of Excellence—people who value others, do what’s right, strive to grow, and bring their best to the work every day. If these values reflect who you are, we’d love to have you join us.

Make a Difference. Lead a Team. Change Lives.

Are you a passionate behavioral health professional who wants to do more than provide clinical services?

Join our team as a CORE Clinician/Supervisor and have a direct impact on the lives of youth and young adults experiencing significant mental health and co-occurring needs. In this unique leadership role, you'll combine clinical practice, staff supervision, care coordination, and community collaboration to help individuals build stability, strengthen relationships, and achieve their goals.

You'll lead a dedicated CORE team while remaining actively involved in direct clinical care. If you're someone who believes in meeting people where they are, building on their strengths, and helping teams provide exceptional care, we'd love to hear from you.

Starting Pay: $55,000

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop a CORE Team

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to CORE staff.
  • Hold weekly team meetings and individual supervision sessions.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff.
  • Support staff in delivering coordinated, individualized services.
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, and supportive team culture.
  • Monitor staff productivity, performance, and compliance with program requirements.

Provide Meaningful Clinical Care

  • Provide direct clinical services to youth and young adults in their homes, communities, and office settings.
  • Use a strengths-based, person-centered, culturally responsive, and recovery-focused approach.
  • Support individuals experiencing complex mental health and co-occurring needs.
  • Respond effectively and calmly to crisis situations.
  • Ensure treatment approaches are consistent with evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in CORE clinical consultations with the designated CORE Mental Health Professional and Milwaukee County clinical representative.

Ensure Quality & Compliance

  • Review and approve clinical documentation for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation in AvatarNX.
  • Complete and/or oversee provider notes, Community Treatment Plans, Crisis Plans, SAFE-Ts, Incident Reports, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, organizational, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support successful completion of DHS 36 audits, productivity requirements, program evaluations, and employee evaluations.

Build Strong Community Partnerships

You'll serve as an important link between the CORE team and community partners, developing strong working relationships with organizations and professionals including:

  • Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services
  • Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services
  • Children & Youth Family Services
  • Milwaukee County Crisis Services
  • Community providers and other system partners

You'll help ensure that everyone involved in an individual's care is working toward coordinated, meaningful outcomes.

We're looking for a clinician and leader who brings compassion, confidence, clinical expertise, and a genuine commitment to the people we serve.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Wisconsin licensure as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training (LPC-IT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with youth or young adults with mental health and co-occurring needs.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and insurance meeting agency requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including references, background check, drug screening, and driver's license check.

Preferred

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in community-based behavioral health services.
