About the Role:
The Human Resource Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the HR department by managing and streamlining administrative processes that ensure efficient employee lifecycle management. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment activities, and assisting with benefits administration to enhance overall workforce satisfaction. The HR Administrator acts as a liaison between employees and management, facilitating clear communication and resolving routine HR inquiries. By ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, this role helps mitigate organizational risks and promotes a positive workplace culture. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a human resources department.
- Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations applicable in the United States.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional).
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and benefits administration platforms.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and timekeeping systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records in HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate recruitment processes including job postings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Assist in onboarding new employees by preparing documentation, conducting orientations, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Support benefits administration by managing enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and other programs.
- Prepare HR reports and assist with audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Respond promptly to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Collaborate with HR team members to implement employee engagement initiatives and training sessions.
Skills:
The required skills enable the HR Administrator to efficiently manage employee data and support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
