Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Technician role based in Bridgeton, MO. The Diesel Technician will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the fleet. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, completing work orders, and documenting repairs in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing parts, and coordinating with dispatch and office staff to minimize downtime. The Diesel Technician will also communicate clearly with internal customers, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support overall shop efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for diesel trucks and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess solid Preventive Maintenance skills, including routine inspections, servicing, and safety checks.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Candidates should possess professional Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with drivers, dispatchers, and office staff.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience as a diesel technician or mechanic, familiarity with diagnostic tools and software, and knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include vocational or technical training in diesel technology, ability to read repair manuals and schematics, strong attention to detail, and capability to lift and move heavy components as required.
