Job Description
Heritage Auctions is the world’s largest collectibles auction house and the clear technology-driven leader in our space, with more than two million registered bidder-members worldwide. Our 2025 sales totaled more than $2.15 billion, marking our third successive record-setting year. Our platform connects passionate collectors and consignors across an unparalleled breadth of 50+ categories, ranging from U.S. & World Coins, Currency, and Fine & Decorative Arts to Comics & Comic Art, Sports Collectibles, Pop Culture, Luxury Accessories, and beyond.
SUMMARY: Heritage Auctions is growing its product organization and seeking a hands-on Product Manager based near our Dallas HQ to help improve how collectors discover, evaluate, bid on, and return to the items they love.
This is a senior individual-contributor role for a product manager who combines strong consumer product taste, marketplace/e-commerce instincts, data-informed decision-making, and a bias for shipping. You will work across HA.com, our mobile app, and related engagement channels to make the buyer experience more intuitive, personalized, and rewarding.
You will collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Digital Commerce, Marketing, and category stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, improve user journeys, and launch features that increase engagement, bidding activity, and repeat participation.
Over time, the role may include mentorship or leadership of other product contributors.
LOCATION: Dallas/Fort Worth preferred (hybrid role).
BENEFITS:
- Medical, Dental, Vision coverage
- Paid time off
- 401k savings plans
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own and execute growth initiatives across HA.com and the mobile app, improving how clients discover, evaluate, bid, consign, and stay engaged with Heritage.
- Improve discovery experiences, including search, browse, auction landing pages, category entry points, item detail pages, and bidding flows.
- Strengthen retention loops, such as saved searches, wantlists, alerts, notifications, lifecycle messaging, and personalized recommendations.
- Partner with Design and Engineering to simplify buyer journeys, reduce friction, and improve conversion from discovery to bidding.
- Use analytics, funnel analysis, qualitative feedback, and experimentation to identify opportunities and measure impact.
- Help Heritage turn high-interest auction traffic into repeat participation and deeper long-term engagement.
- Explore thoughtful AI-enabled personalization and discovery experiences, including recommendations, affinity modeling, AI-created wantlists, and better matching between collectors and relevant items.
- Apply sound judgment about when AI or automation will improve the experience, and when trust, transparency, or simplicity should take priority.
- Define success metrics, communicate tradeoffs, and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities and outcomes.
- Operate effectively in a high-context, cross-functional environment without relying on heavy process or having a wholly dedicated squad in all instances.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5–10+ years of product management or closely related product ownership experience, ideally with significant exposure to consumer marketplaces, e-commerce, mobile apps, consumer fintech or real estate, travel, ticketing/resale, or other high-traffic consumer products.
- Strong product taste and user judgment, with an instinct for simple, elegant, trustworthy experiences.
- Experience across growth-oriented product surfaces involving discovery, conversion, retention, personalization, notifications, and others
- Comfort using data, experimentation, user research, and commercial context to make pragmatic product decisions.
- Ability to translate ambiguous opportunities into focused product bets, clear requirements, and shipped improvements.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence Engineering, Design, Marketing, Digital Commerce, executives, and business stakeholders.
- A bias for action, ownership, and measurable impact.
- Practical, demonstrated experience with – and interest in – AI and emerging tools, especially where they can improve discovery, personalization, productivity, or customer experience.
- Judgment about AI failure modes, trust, transparency, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Interest in collectibles, auctions, marketplaces, or passionate enthusiast communities is a plus; a “collector gene” is even better.
Heritage Auctions welcomes and encourages applications from women, minorities, veterans, mature workers, and persons with disabilities. EOE
