Position Summary:
Providing ongoing support to core Human Resources Function areas such as; full cycle recruitment, benefits, onboarding, employee questions, employee file updates. This includes:
- Responding to employee inquiries relating to enCompass’s employee programs and in particular, recruiting, onboarding and/or escalating to appropriate HR team member
- Producing reports and assisting with the analysis of information relating to the usage, administration and improvement of recruiting, employee benefits, and onboarding
- Assisting with the development of work policies and procedures
- Assisting HR team with employees’ electronic files and updates
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the day to day and administration of enCompass’s recruitment module, full cycle recruiting, scheduling interviews, and reference checks, career fairs
- Respond effectively and efficiently to inquiries and concerns on the various employee programs from all levels of staff across the company and escalate to HR Manager
- Under the guidance of the HR Manager, produce and/or validate numerous reports for use internally and by HR Team. These may include; PT benefits eligibility, GRRSP Report, turnover, recruitment analysis
- Proactively assist with the development and revision of information materials, policies and procedures, process flowcharts, etc. that are used to enhance employees’ knowledge of all enCompass employee programs
- Support the HR Manager and Generalist when they have employee program questions/inquiries from staff or when there is a need to conduct research on escalated issues
- Under the guidance of the HR Manager and or HR Generalist to assist with ongoing maintenance and clean- up of work job descriptions, ADP talent Profile,
- Counseling employees on benefit coverage, and claim concerns
- Assists HR Generalist with Part- Time benefit renewal
- Assist with research and analysis on employee programs as requested
- Provide back-up to the HR Team

Qualifications / Skills:
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources, Social Sciences or a related
- Minimum 1-3 years of human resources experiences with a focus on any of the functional areas
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
- Sound problem resolution skills.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities, ensuring a high level of service to all business units
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Demonstrated professionalism
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to take an unbiased approach to problem solving/resolution
- Willingness to learn and grow within the agency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with ADP Workforce Now application is an asset
- 1-2 years with full-cycle recruitment, HR administration, Benefit Administration is an asset
- Previous experience working in a Not for Profit highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of HRIS systems, operations, setup
- Research and analytical abilities, along with strong attention to detail
- Exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills
Conditions of Employment:
- Flexible work arrangements may be available, including remote work options
- Ability to travel to various enCompass programs and locations when required
Salary:
This is a part-time position. The wage is $30 per hour, working 19 hours per week.

Thursday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM
Friday: 8:00AM to 12:00PM or 12:00PM to 4:30PM
19 hours a week; 2 full days at 7.5 hours and 1 half day at 4 hours.
