Scrub Tech
Full-Time | $35.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm
Location: Langhorne

The Opportunity
As a Scrub Tech, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the surgical team during operative procedures while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience.
What You’ll Do
Surgical Support & Patient Care
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and sterile draping
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures
- Hold retractors, cut sutures, and perform additional intraoperative tasks as directed by the surgeon
- Prepare dressings or bandages and assist with post-surgical application
- Observe patients’ vital signs to assess physical condition
- Prepare, care for, and dispose of tissue specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain a proper sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations
- Scrub arms and hands and assist the surgical team with sterile attire and glove application
- Wash and sterilize equipment using germicides and sterilizers
- Operate and monitor sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Monitor operating room conditions and anticipate the needs of both the patient and surgical team
- Complete annual mandatory training by assigned deadlines
- Clean and restock operating rooms between cases
- Gather and organize surgical equipment and instruments according to preference cards and instructions
- Maintain surgical procedure files and records
- Order surgical supplies and maintain fluid inventory, including plasma, saline, blood, and glucose
- Communicate accurate and timely patient information to the Registered Nurse
- Record pertinent information clearly, accurately, and promptly
- Assist with preparing and moving patients as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Stay calm, focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Take pride in maintaining precision, sterility, and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clinical teams
- Bring a high level of professionalism, emotional maturity, and flexibility to your work
- Enjoy supporting positive patient experiences and surgical outcomes
- Can balance efficiency with patient-centered care
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a recognized Surgical Tech program preferred
- CST required in select states
- BLS certification required
- At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under the stress of the operating room atmosphere
- Ability to verify visual and audio alarms on machines
