Pines Village is searching for part time dietary aides to work in our Assisted Living and Skiiled nursing areas.
About the Role:
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within healthcare and assisted living facilities. This position ensures that meals are prepared, served, and delivered in accordance with established dietary guidelines and infection control standards. The Dietary Aide collaborates closely with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, promoting the health and well-being of each individual. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a clean and safe food service environment. Ultimately, the Dietary Aide contributes to a positive dining experience that supports the overall care plan of residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of infection control and food safety practices.
- Demonstrated patience and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare food service settings.
- Certification in food handling or dietary aide training.
- Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic, low sodium, or allergen-free diets.
- Strong interpersonal skills to relate positively with residents and staff.
- Ability to adapt to changing dietary guidelines and facility policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to prescribed dietary plans and facility standards.
- Follow written and oral instructions carefully to ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and infection control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, equipment, and utensils to meet health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate meal delivery and address resident needs promptly and respectfully.
- Support residents by relating positively and patiently, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during meal times.
