Inventory Specialist - Nursery
Onsite | Lakeville, MN

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist- Nursery to support our inventory and retail operations. In this role, you’ll help ensure accurate product tracking, communicate availability and quality updates to sales staff, and assist with cycle counts and data integrity. You’ll also support retail teams by answering product questions and preparing restocking orders, helping keep our stores running smoothly and efficiently.

Position Duties:
Inventory Control Activities
  • Communicate product availability, quality and location to sales staff
  • Assist with performing quality adjustments, cycle counts and maintaining data integrity
Retail Support
  • Assist with product availability questions and respond to Retail staff questions
  • Write restocking orders for A-stores and Cedar Acres as needed
  • Assist with physical inventory and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Two-year horticulture or related certificate plus two years nursery experience required OR a total of 3 years of customer service/nursery experience required.
  • Computer inventory skills required. PC skills, excel spreadsheet and word processor skills required.
  • NetSuite knowledge or ability to learn for receiving, transferring and maintaining data integrity.
  • Excellent working knowledge of landscape plant materials required.
  • Ability to recognize and identify plant pests, disease and related problems.
  • Ability to stock balance production and outside vendor inventory to ensure availability.
  • Excellent communication and professional customer contact skills required.
  • Must know and exercise good personal leadership skills in the direction of work duties.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Good organization skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Operate equipment, physical logistics.
  • MNLA Nursery Professional Certification preferred.

Schedule: M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm with additional hours during peak periods

Compensation: $20-$21/hour
