Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Marine Service Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our marine service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of boat maintenance, repairs, and other marine services. The Marine Service Manager will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, managing service schedules, and contributing to the overall success of Ocean Isle Marina.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
• Lead and supervise a team of marine service technicians.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
2. Service Operations:
• Coordinate and prioritize boat maintenance, repairs, and service requests.
• Ensure timely and efficient completion of service tasks.
• Oversee quality control to maintain high service standards.
3. Customer Service:
• Interact with customers to understand their service needs and address any concerns.
• Maintain excellent customer relations through effective communication and problem resolution.
4. Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage marine service department inventory.
• Place orders for necessary parts and equipment in a timely manner.
5. Budget and Cost Control:
• Collaborate with upper management to develop and manage the marine service department budget.
• Implement cost-effective measures without compromising service quality.
6. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure that all service activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols within the marine service department.
7. Reporting:
• Provide regular reports on service department performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in marine service management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of boat maintenance, repairs, and marine service operations.
• Familiarity with marine industry regulations and safety standards.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
