Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Summary:

Strategically sources candidates for positions in assigned areas. Responsible for understanding knowledge, skills and abilities, needed to fulfill anticipated and current talent needs of the organization. Partners with Hiring Managers and the Human Resources team to source, recruit and make recommendations for hiring in alignment with cultural competence objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, interviewing, scheduling interviews, and making recommendations for hiring top talent, and hand off for onboarding candidates.
  2. Promotes the employer brand by providing consistent messaging to candidates in regards to company values, purpose, goals, and mission.
  3. Establishes sourcing strategies by meeting with Hiring Managers to discuss talent needs and requirements. Uses a variety of tools to source both passive and active candidates, screens, evaluates, tracks, and recommends qualified, diverse applicants to Hiring Managers.
  4. Determines applicant requirements by reviewing job description and job qualifications and refers candidates who are most qualified by conducting initial phone screens, analyzing responses and documenting them for future reference.
  5. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements/requisitions on appropriate job sites, actively searches resume databases, networks, attends job fairs, virtual job fairs, and participates in other relevant recruitment opportunities.
  6. Coordinates schedules to include pre-screening processes and interviews.
  7. Regularly follows up with Hiring Managers and candidates to monitor effectiveness of recruitment process and ensure timely responses.
  8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal and industry networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  9. Follows company policies and procedures to make offers, conduct background checks and drug screens, and onboarding processes.
    1. Update job postings with creative requisitions/ job postings
    2. Presents ideas for process improvement and efficiencies
  10. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations.
  11. Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or similar field preferred. Two years proven professional corporate recruitment experience required including strategic sourcing of candidates. Experience using applicant tracking systems.
