Service Technician at Orville's Appliance Inc – Lancaster, New York

Position Accountabilities:

•Prescreening of customer inquiries submitted by Customer Service Representative in order to identify if service is eligible.

•Identify functional failure of appliance through effective diagnosis testing.

•Advising Parts Manager on specific appliance part required once diagnosis testing completed successfully.

•Responsible for the replacement of appliance parts in safe and correct manner.

•Coordinate additional repair assistance with manufacturers, if necessary.

•Providing customer timely updates on the repair process.

•Documenting all necessary steps of repair process, from time the requisition was received to when service finalized.

•Any and all other duties as assigned by manager.

Position Requirements:

•1-2 years of relevant experience.

•High School Diploma OR G.E.D. Equivalent.

•Ability to troubleshoot and actively identify operational malfunctions independently.

•Excellent time management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.

•Self-motivated and demonstrated attention to detail.

•Proficient in use of diagnostic equipment technology.

•Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting of objects between 50-100 lbs. as well as frequent periods of kneeling, standing, sitting, and crouching.

Rate of Pay:

$25 -$35 DOE
