Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and compliance support across all areas of Human Resources. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS administration, payroll and benefits coordination, training governance, and compliance activities. The HR Coordinator acts as a key resource for employees and managers while supporting HR processes in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.

Requirements: Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Post job openings, screen applications, and schedule interviews.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure an organized, welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting metrics.
  • Support high-volume and seasonal recruiting for hourly workforce needs.
Employee Relations & Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR questions and employee support.
  • Assist with engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, and events.
  • Help resolve employee concerns and maintain positive working relationships across shifts.
HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure confidentiality compliance.
  • Support FMLA/leave administration, workers' compensation processes, and policy communication.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 documentation, policy acknowledgments, postings, and required recordkeeping.
  • Assist with training record governance, SOP alignment, and audit support.
Payroll & Benefits Support
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping, attendance, and PTO tracking for payroll.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and general benefit questions.
  • Coordinate open enrollment materials and benefits communication.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, logistics, or high-volume operations.
  • Knowledge of HR fundamentals including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HRIS management.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other employment laws.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments including shift structures and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred to support effective communication across teams and employee populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or HR-related coursework.
  • OSHA-10 or safety-related training.
  • Training in conflict resolution, investigations, or labor relations.
