We are currently looking for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned buildings within the Sullivan University System to ensure facilities are operating properly.

Hours for the position are 7:30 am-4:30 pm with flexibility needed for emergencies and weather-related situations.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Ensures the efficient function of building operations and assists faculty, staff, and students with building matters.
• Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Coordinates transfer of equipment and personnel from one campus to another as necessary.
• Coordinates renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities.
• Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in assigned locations.
• Assists other Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Assistants, and Grounds Keepers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years of experience in maintenance supervision.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently while meeting required deadlines.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.
• Basic computer skills, to include use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and the internet.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to physically maneuver about the facilities of the system, including bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, and pulling as necessary to perform maintenance work.
• Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with students, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone.
