ABOUT THE POSITION (Hybrid, Travel Required)
The Solutions Architect is a senior, strategic role responsible for shaping, designing, and commercializing consulting and managed services solutions that are operationally sound, financially sustainable, and scalable across the organization. This role owns the end-to-end solution architecture lifecycle—from early opportunity assessment and requirements discovery through financial modeling, solution design, pricing validation, and final client agreement.
Acting as a trusted cross-functional partner, the Solutions Architect collaborates closely with strategy, finance, operations, analytics, client success, and sales to translate complex client challenges into clear, executable, and margin-positive solutions aligned with organizational delivery capabilities. Beyond individual deals, this role plays a critical part in building repeatable offerings, standardized methodologies, and a consistent value narrative that strengthens the firm’s go-to-market effectiveness.
As the organization’s solutioning expert, the Solutions Architect continuously monitors healthcare regulatory, operational, and financial trends and converts insights into enhanced offerings and strategic recommendations. As directed by leadership, the role may also serve as a subject matter expert on client engagements (up to 25% of time), based on background and experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Solution Architecture: Own the full lifecycle architecture of consulting and managed services opportunities from qualification through final deal approval.
- Design Scalable and Financially Sustainable Solutions: Translate client needs into data-driven, margin-positive solutions.
- Develop and Standardize Solutions: Create reusable solution narratives, playbooks, and frameworks through cross-team collaboration.
- Create and Maintain Centralized Solutions Library: Develop and manage clear and standardized solution narratives, pricing models, and methodologies to be used across the organization.
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Align sales, delivery, analytics, and client success teams.
- Monitor Market Trends: Incorporate healthcare regulatory, operational, and financial insights.
- Enable Internal Teams: Train teams in solution frameworks and new offerings.
- Serve As the Proforma Subject Matter Expert: Validate assumptions, staffing models, risks, and financial impacts to ensure accuracy and support informed decisions.
- Standardize Evaluation Criteria for Managed Services Solution Offerings: Create consistent low/medium/high standards for MS evaluation to improve scoping accuracy, predictability, and repeatability.
- Train and Enable Internal Teams: Provide training and knowledge transfer on solution frameworks, tools, and new offerings to drive organizational adoption.
- Lead Continuous Improvement of Solutioning Processes: Evaluate and enhance solutioning workflows, tools, and templates to drive efficiency and scalability.
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE certified school of pharmacy
Preferred: Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or specialty residency is preferred
Experience
Required: Minimum of 5 years formal leadership experience
Licensure
Required: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority obtained within 1 month of hire date
