Position Summary
Direct Dimension is seeking skilled Welders / Fabricators to join our production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for MIG welding and fabrication of steel components while maintaining strong quality standards and production efficiency.
Candidates may be placed at different skill levels based on welding ability, fabrication experience, and performance during the weld test.

What You Will Do
• Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints and weld specifications
• Fit, tack, and weld components to required tolerances and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and production instructions
• Set up and adjust welding equipment, fixtures, and materials for each job
• Inspect welds and assemblies to ensure they meet company and customer quality requirements
• Perform fabrication tasks including grinding, cutting, and material preparation
• Maintain welding equipment and keep workstations clean and organized
• Record completed production and report quality or equipment issues
• Work with teammates and supervisors to improve workflow, safety, and productivity
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional shop environment
What We Are Looking For
• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
• Successful completion of a weld test
Preferred Experience
• Formal welding training or certification
• Experience welding heavy plate or structural steel
• Experience working in a production manufacturing environment
Compensation
Compensation is based on welding ability demonstrated during the interview and weld test.
Typical range: $20 – $26 per hour depending on experience and skill level
Opportunities for overtime may be available based on production needs.
Physical Requirements
• Standing for extended periods during the shift
• Frequent lifting, bending, and handling of steel components
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds with assistance
• Use of welding equipment, grinders, hoists, and fabrication tools
