About This Position

Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY:
As Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the community, including full profit and loss responsibility. The Executive Director plans, implements, and evaluates all aspects of operations. He/she recruits and trains team members, has a direct supervisory responsibility for team members in order to create and maintain a highly functioning team environment, maintains high customer satisfaction, and ensures a quality-oriented workforce. The Executive Director complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, and focuses on creating a safe working and living environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Models a service attitude and leads by example, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents and co-workers
Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
Maintain good attendance record and supports all Forefront Living initiatives.
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff
Communicate and champion all Forefront Living initiatives to staff and community partners
Plan, develop, organize, and implement business development programs that ensures facility attains or exceeds occupancy projections.
Plan, develop, implement direct and support the organizations fiscal function and performance.
Participate in the development of the facilitys plans and programs as a strategic community partner.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organizations by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.
Represent the organization to the public with experience in donor relations and educational presentations.
Actively participates in community activities and civic events
Ensure campus compliance of all State and Federal regulations.
Assist in fundraising as directed by COO
Responsible for total operations of CCRC including fiscal analysis and program modifications necessary due to variances
Ensure facilitys exposure to risk is minimized by cultivating and maintaining resident, family and staff relationships and ensuring regulatory requirements are meet.
Build and maintain an effective team of departments to ensure and facilitate efficient day-to-day operations.
Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Nursing or another Health related field.
Five or more years experience in LTC Administration, or Senior Housing Management; Independent Living or Assisted Living
CCRC management experience preferred; experience in a start-up strongly preferred
Demonstrated excellence in budget development and compliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer software applications and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Must possess strong work ethic, be self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work in a team environment
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, children, handicapped people and hospice patients
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven leadership and ability to recruit, train, motivate personnel, with ability to balance staffing strength with sustainability and growth
Demonstrated administrative skills, including well-developed management and technology skills
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, as well as recognize and support the organizations priorities and mission
Results oriented with the ability to balance all business considerations
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of care and programming residents
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of Medicare/Medicaid programs, including reimbursement programs, with demonstrated ability to maximize reimbursement levels, understanding of Texas QRS program
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a broad range of individuals of varied backgrounds
Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, handicapped people and hospice Patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements as outlined below
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
