💚 Lead Clinical Excellence Across Our Communities
At The Heritage and The Gardens, the Clinical Nurse Director plays a vital leadership role in shaping the quality and consistency of care across our Assisted Living and Memory Care programs. Working under the direction of the Executive Director, this RN leader ensures clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident outcomes — while mentoring and guiding care teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality service every day. This is a full-time, exempt leadership position with 25% travel between communities.
🩺What You'll Do
Community Leadership
- Conduct assessments for new admissions and ongoing resident evaluations
- Oversee care plans, resident follow-up, and hospital transitions/re-admissions
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, and external providers
- Foster strong resident and family relationships to maintain high satisfaction
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and manage all care-related staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and clinical oversight
- Provide and oversee in-service training, including CBRF requirements (DHS 83)
- Communicate critical clinical updates to the Executive Director
Quality & Compliance
- Oversee medication management, MAR documentation, and care plan accuracy
- Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and supervise medication technicians
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and survey preparedness
- Ensure compliance with DHS 83, DHS 89, and internal policies
Responsibility & Oversight
- Maintain regulatory compliance and reporting standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response procedures
- Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and safety at all times
- Report incidents, concerns, or regulatory issues per policy
What You'll Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care community, or related healthcare setting
- Knowledge of DHS 83 and 89 regulations preferred
- Strong leadership, team-building, and supervisory skills
- Proven ability to maintain high resident satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills with residents, families, physicians, regulatory agencies, and community partners
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, emergencies, and on-call responsibilities
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including assisting during emergency situations
