WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Project Consultant (also known internally as a System Design Specialist) meets with homeowners and property managers to inspect structures, diagnose foundation or soil-related problems, and recommend engineered repair solutions.
This is a consultative outside sales role where you will visit properties, perform inspections, educate clients on repair options, and guide them through the process of restoring their structure.
You will serve as the primary point of contact from inspection through project approval, helping customers feel confident in their decisions and the solutions we provide.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive to pre-scheduled customer appointments throughout the local market
- Build rapport with homeowners and property managers to understand their concerns and goals
- Conduct detailed inspections of homes, buildings, and structures
- Diagnose structural settlement, soil movement, drainage problems, or seawall issues
- Design repair solutions using Helicon’s engineered systems, including:
- Push piers and helical piers
- Polyurethane concrete lifting
- Soil stabilization and compaction grouting
- Present findings and explain repair options clearly and confidently
- Prepare repair proposals and pricing for customers
- Close projects and secure signed agreements
- Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the sales process
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project execution
- Meet or exceed monthly sales performance targets
- Attend weekly sales meetings and company training
- Represent Helicon’s culture and values in every client interaction
MUST HAVES:
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, and/or customer service principles and practices
- Knowledge of construction principles and practices preferred but not required.
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use sales software and inspection tools

WORK SCHEDULE:
- Flexible schedule based on customer appointments
- Evening or weekend availability may be required to meet homeowner schedules
- Local day travel throughout the service area

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift/carry/push or pull - up to 20 pounds;
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- Operate a computer/ipad and cell phone
- Communicate accurately on the telephone and in person
