Permanent Full Time Role

Annual Salary: $90,000 + superannuation

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Punchbowl

Role Objective:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and logistics operations to deliver a safe, efficient, accurate and customer-centric fulfilment environment. This role oversees stock management, online order fulfilment, inward goods, dispatch, process accuracy, third-party freight relationships and warehouse team performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced operator who can optimise processes, build a high-performing team, and support Baby Village’s growth.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Fulfilment

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and replenishment.

  • Ensure online orders are fulfilled accurately, quickly and in alignment with Baby Village’s premium brand presentation standards.

  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse environment that meets WHS requirements.

  • Continually improve processes to reduce errors, increase efficiency and enhance team productivity.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee all stock movements including receipting of POs, cycle counts, stocktakes and discrepancy investigations.

  • Maintain strong stock integrity across all locations.

  • Identify slow/aged stock, storage issues and opportunities to optimise space.

  • Collaborate with Buying and Planning to forecast space, inbound volume and storage requirements.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach and develop the warehouse team to create a high-performing, accountable culture.

  • Manage rostering, workload planning and productivity targets.

  • Train team members on process standards, safety expectations and equipment use.

  • Conduct performance reviews, feedback sessions and corrective actions where needed.

Logistics, Freight & Supplier Coordination

  • Manage relationships with freight partners, ensuring delivery SLAs, cost efficiency and issue resolution.

  • Oversee inbound logistics scheduling and coordination with suppliers and carriers.

  • Monitor freight spend and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure the warehouse is compliant with all WHS policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments, equipment checks and staff safety training.

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Report daily/weekly KPIs including order turnaround time, stock accuracy, productivity and freight performance.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflow, technology use and capacity.

  • Support the implementation of new systems, warehouse layouts or automation tools as required.

Essential Skills and Experience

- 7+years total warehouse experience, with 3+ years managing a warehouse team (retail, ecommerce or FMCG preferred).

- Strong understanding of inbound/outbound logistics, inventory systems and warehouse processes.

- Proven experience of strong Health, Safety & compliance.

- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build capability and drive accountability.

- Experience with WMS/procurement systems

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

- Forklift licence.

- Strong verbal and written communication.

- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving and commercial acumen.

- Excellent prioritisation, time management and organisational skills.

- Team player, but able to work independently, assume responsibility for deliverables, and work effectively within deadlines

- Passion for learning, continuous improvement and growth mindset
