We are currently seeking an experienced:

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Open new requisitions as requested by department directors and send to Administrator for approval
  • Review current open requisitions with department managers on a weekly basis and make updates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as needed
  • Conducts review of open requisitions to ensure correct positions are open and posted
  • Reviews new facility applications received through ATS system and contacts applicants to schedule interviews
  • Updates ATS with current status of active applicants daily
  • Contacts local employment resources to build community brand recognition
  • Works with corporate recruitment team to ensure positions are updated and applicant flow is strong
  • Conducts phone and schedules in person interviews
  • Partners with Staff Development Coordinator to complete on-boarding activities/orientation, completes pre-hire screening including background check, drug screening, and reference checks
  • Completes post-orientation checklist
  • Assists new employees with signing tax forms, deduction cards, form I-9, sign on bonus contracts, employee referral bonus, etc.
  • Sends payroll file maintenance information for all hires, changes and terminations to Central Office. Reviews missed punches and corrects issues prior to payroll submission
  • Refers employees to appropriate resource with concerns related to employment, including FMLA/LOA and benefits
  • Completes non-clinical department schedules in partnership with department supervisors
  • Maintains credentials of all professional employees and Nurse Aide Certification for CNA’s.
  • Distributes evaluation notices to Department Directors, compiles list of evaluations due and follows up to assure timely completion.
  • Files workers compensation claims on a timely basis and keeps information regarding claims updated and current.
  • Maintains appropriate OSHA logs and postings
  • Maintains employee files in an accurate easily retrievable manner.
  • Assists visitors, families and employees as needed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience interviewing/phone screening and extending offers to new hires
  • Knowledge of employment rules and regulations
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and work well with others.
  • Team player with a positive and considerate attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Computer knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
