Counselor at Dedham Community Association Inc – Dedham, Massachusetts

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Dedham Community House Summer Camp is hiring for the 2026 camp season.

Counselors must be at least 16 years old by June 1 and experience working with children in a camp or group setting.

The responsibilities of a counselor include:

• Assisting the Head Counselor in group management, attendance, and following the schedule daily
• Interact with and form positive relationships with campers in your group and the camp
• Assisting in specialty areas with campers and any behaviors that may need to be addressed
• Be prepared to get into the pool with your group on a rotation with other counselors in your group.
• Setting the example for campers and staff alike to help keep camp safe, fun, and inclusive

Details:

• Camp season runs from June 8-August 21
• Operated Mon-Fri 8:45 am-4:30 pm (staff arrive at 8:30 am and leave at 4:45 pm)
• Optional additional hours for AM and PM care, 7:30-8:45 am and 4:30-5:45 pm

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $15.75 - $17.00 per hour

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
