Conexon is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Billing Director to lead our end-to-end revenue cycle and billing operations. As Conexon Connect rapidly expands its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) footprint nationwide, this role is critical in ensuring revenue assurance, financial accuracy, and a seamless customer billing experience.

The Billing Director will play a pivotal role in revenue assurance affecting all aspects of Conexon Connect billing system, completeness and adherence with the company’s billing policies, processes, and controls. You will serve as a key bridge between marketing, customer care, and finance, driving the integration of BSS platforms to streamline high-volume billing. We are looking for a leader who can balance day-to-day operational excellence with long-term strategic planning—identifying process improvements, implementing robust financial controls, and leveraging data analytics to reduce churn and enhance profitability in a fast-scaling environment. This is a key strategic position in a fast-growing company; you will be expected to provide guidance and expertise to internal and client stakeholders on a wide variety of issues.

Location: Hybrid- in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Job Type: Full- time

Schedule: Fixed- some irregular hours may be required

Overtime: Occasionally based on business needs

Requirements:
  • Proven ability to multi-task and plan/organize work to meet deadlines, all with a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker towards short- and long-term organizational goals
  • Proven experience scaling teams in a high-growth environment
  • Proficiency in report preparation and data analysis
  • Possesses financial acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of accounting and/or Telecommunications Billing experience in a leadership role
  • CPA or PMP preferred
  • Telecommunications experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and solve problems
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Work cross functionally to assist with defining best practices, workflows, and technological solutions
  • Have full comprehension of end-to-end billing process with the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Work with external vendors and coop partners as it relates to billing issues and efficiencies
  • Perform month-over-month analysis, reporting, and identifying trends
  • Provide training to staff in compliance with federal and state regulations, FCC compliance, and USAC/E-Rate, and internal billing policies
  • Work with external vendors as it relates to billing technology, issues, and efficiencies
  • Apply and monitor appropriate controls
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure strategic directives are implemented, including optimal customer experience with billing changes
  • Identify and lead the implementation of process improvements
  • Develop, document, and review systems documentation and perform QA testing as needed for systems supporting Billing
  • Optimize the sign up to payment receipt lifecycle. Set strategic objectives and review performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the objectives of this position
