Reporting to: Education Department

General Description: Santa Fe Children's Museum is looking for fun-loving, positive-thinking individuals with experience working with children ages 0-10 years to provide engaging hands-on activities for our guests. The Program Assistant will perform a number of tasks for the education department, including preparing for special events, camps, and general programming.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Positively engage and interact with children through play at scheduled programs and activities throughout the Museum.
• Assist guests by providing pertinent information regarding Museum's mission, exhibits, programs, and services.
• Sets up and cleans up program activities and spaces.
• Support visiting educators and special guests, including the documentation of programming.
• Assist with camp programming.
• Assist with the organization of program materials, including physical supplies, storage organization, digital files, physical records, and calendars.
• Create Grab n' Go kits
• Attends staff meetings and training.
• Stays current on Museum policies, programs, and special events.
• Assists with any other special events, as needed.
• Must be flexible with work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
