Temp Parttime Faculty- SHS
Position Summary:
The Speech & Hearing Sciences department is seekingqualified temporary part time faculty members to teach undergraduate and/or graduatelevel classes in various disciplines as specified above. Instructors areresponsible for all aspects of any class they are teaching. Responsibilitieswill include but not be limited to meeting with the class during assignedtimes, delivering the course curriculum, developing and grading assignments, conductingweekly office hours, reporting grades, and assessing student learning outcomesas outlined by the department.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester asdetermined by student enrollment levels, courses on the current course schedule,and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled oreliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or addcourses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report tothe Chair of the Speech & Hearing Sciences department.
Anticipated openings will be for Adjuncts who can teachcourses in a broad range of subject areas, including but not limited to thesubject areas covered in the following UNM courses:

- Master's Degree or higher in speech in hearing sciences or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified SLP or Audiologist through ASHA.
- Two years professional experience in the specialization or subfield
- An earned doctorate from an accredited institution
- Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution
- Successful experience teaching courses using a variety of teaching modalities (such as Face-to-Face, Remote, and Fully Online)
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understand of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
