Job Overview:

The MHA will assist in carrying out the behavioral plan of care such as diversional activities while keeping the patient's safety at the forefront.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BA Degree in a psychology or related field or a minimum of 5 years of recent behavioral health experience is required

Preferred:

• A minimum of one year of experience, training, or education in the field of treatment is preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

• Varies
• Evenings
• Part-Time

Essential Functions:

• Maintains unit safely and facilitates daily activity of the patients
• Assists patients in activities of daily living
• Conduct rounds
• Records accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Assists in code responses as per policy and in accordance with training
• Assists in securing patient personal belongings

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred OR a Bachelor's degree with one year of relevant work experience interacting with patients and community,
• Current BLS certification or successful completion of required training to attain certification within three months of start date,
• MHA will provide emotional support to the behavioral patients
