What Are We Looking For?
Lake Regional Health System is actively seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team. The Assistant Controller is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting processes at Lake Regional Health System. The Assistant Controller serves as the liaison with the auditors. The successful candidate must be proactive with a self-starting mindset. In addition, the candidate must have a strong sense of work ownership and the ability to take on complex responsibilities including management of various company projects.
Responsibilities:
- Engages in creating and maintaining a positive, ethical and productive department and workplace that contributes to achieving progress on LRHS culture and strategic initiatives.
- Possesses the ability to work with other health system departments in a collaborative manner while serving as a resource person for the organization.
- Assists the CFO and Controller with accurate financial statement reporting.
- Provides comprehensive financial updates to leadership through evaluation, analysis and reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls through policies and procedures.
- Assist in achieving budgeting goals with analysis and corrective action plans. Provide assistance in establishing financial and operating benchmarks and cost center/service line monitoring.
- Maximize efficiency and accuracy through process improvement, data integrity, and reporting enhancements.
- Makes active contribution to the accomplishment of the strategic plan and goals of the organization.
- Represents Department & Organization professionally, as needed, both internally and externally.
Qualification for Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA or 3 to 5 years’ experience in a healthcare industry accounting role desired
