Office of Administration, Division of Accounting (OA-DOA) seeks a qualified professional for the Financial Unit.

We are seeking a proactive team player who can apply critical thinking & problem solving in order to assist state agencies and vendors with questions, inquiries and processes regarding the State Financial System.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

• Establishing and auditing MissouriBUYS Security
• Auditing SAM II Security forms.
• Assisting state agencies and vendors with various inquiries, processes, etc. regarding MissouriBUYS.
• Process correction documents for SAM II Financial
• Process agency requests and review reports.
• Contribute to the 1099 process for OA-DOA.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of State Statutes, Code of State Regulations, Statewide and OA Policies relating to accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of SAM II Financial and the Data Warehouse.
• Advanced knowledge of MissouriBUYS.
• Ability to create reports and spreadsheets in Microsoft Access and Excel
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the unit and with other OA divisions.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.
• Ability to perform detailed work using statistical and financial data.
• Two or more years of experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency

OR

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting; and, two or more years of professional business or governmental accounting experience including the processing of financial data which requires the interpretation and application of established accounting procedures.
