Job Summary

RWJBH is seeking a Per diem Advanced Practice Provider for the Surgical Sub Specialty department at the New Brunswick campus,

Essential Functions

• This is a consultative role that covers Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology
• This is a rotational position for days and nights
• Candidate should possess effective time management and have a desire to learn procedures
• While there is NO OPERATING ROOM, this is a heavy procedure service
• Must have manual dexterity to perform suturing and use scopes
• Understanding the techniques of primary and secondary closures of acute wounds is preferred but willing to teach
• The service is very busy and requires a person with high energy and great attitude,

Education

• Advanced Practice Nurses must be certified in Family due the pediatric population seen on this service
• Physician Assistants must be a graduate from an accredited PA program

Experience

• 1-3 years of Surgical ENT Plastics experience preferred
• Licenses and Certifications
• Current NJ APN PA license required
• NCCPA certification required
• CDS required
• DEA required
• RN required
• RNFA certification optional
• BLS required
• ACLS required
