JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Information Security Chief, the Cyber Automation Analyst implements and maintains small to medium scope information security solutions for the organization under the guidance of the Security Architect. This role will be at the forefront of enhancing our organization’s security posture by designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions that streamline security operations, improve incident response, and ensuring robust protections against evolving cyber threats.

Requires a diverse set of skills including problem solving, solid verbal and written communication, excellent relationship building experience, multi-tasking, and strong leadership skills. Maintains a diverse knowledge of computer systems architecture and administration (workstation, server and network).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:

2+ years of experience in software development, scripting, or a security role with a strong focus on automation and coding.

Strong proficiency in Python development, including experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.Experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript) for automation tasks.

Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs for integrating various security tools and platforms.

Experience with version control systems.

Understanding of common cybersecurity concepts (e.g., network security, endpoint security, application security, identity and access management).

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

Understanding of secure coding principles and common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving threat landscape.

Strong passion for cybersecurity and automation.

Ability to learn quickly and multitask

Excellent written/verbal communication skills

PREFERRED:

Bachelor's degree

5+ years in software development experience.

Knowledge of SOAR platforms is highly desirable.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

• CompTIA Security + or able to obtain within 1 year.
