Description:
New Tech Global is seeking two Offshore Deepwater HP-HT Drilling Wellsite Coordinators for a 1 to 4-year project for a client in the Gulf of America/Gulf of Mexico (GOA/GOM).
MUST HAVE RECENT GOA/GOM EXP!
Rotation: 12-hour shifts during 21-day offshore rotation
Day Rate: $1,500 USD/day
Start date: December 2025 / January 2026Location: Offshore Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Service Company or operator, drilling wellsite supervision background.
- Operational knowledge of surface equipment: the candidate must know about what is happening on the surface: rig equipment functionality, rig crew management, equipment movements.
- But most importantly, they need someone with expertise in downhole activities: drilling techniques, drilling programs, well control, stuck pipe prevention, risk mitigation, operational aspects, etc. They need a service company's wellsite supervisor profile.
- 10 plus years of RECENT (less than 5 years) experience in deepwater operations in the GOM/GOA (Gulf of Mexico; Gulf of America)
- Experience working in Drill Ships, Semi Sub, and Semi Sub Tender.
Education and Certification Requirements
o Minimum education: Bachelor’s in engineering.
o Relevant experience outweighs formal education.
o Required certifications: Valid Well Control certification, TWIC, and HUET.
Roles and Responsibilities:
o The Well Site Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating Product Lines at the wellsite to provide safe and reliable service.
o The WSC does not assume responsibility for technical or operational decisions on the platform.
o The WSC will act as knowledgeable advisors on the rig site, offering expert guidance and support.
o They provide clear leadership in every aspect of HSE protection, ensuring that safe working practices are used at the well site by all company Product Lines.
o They also align all stakeholders at the well site to ensure awareness and readiness for optimum execution of operations.
o Participates in safety and operations meetings that are related to well operations.
o Update the forecast and planned activities to anticipate resource requirements, meet well demands, and provide optimal service efficiency.
o Checks that equipment, personnel, and services comply with the contract.
o Manages proper inventory of company tangibles, including cement, barite, bits, and rental equipment, and coordinates with service line operations and third-party suppliers as needed.
o Acts as the company focal point for the client on the well site, communicating and coordinating with the involved Product Lines in the project.
o Monitors operational progress of the well against the approved operational program and reports any deviation or delay.
o Ensures compliance with company policies and integrated service line standards, including standing orders aligned with the bridging document signed between the company and the customer.
o Manages and monitors operations communications to ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and service providers have all necessary information to perform their services.
o Prepares and communicates accurate daily reports of all well activities in the relevant business system.
o Ensures proper handover to their relief.
o Supports other functional processes and service lines with appropriate handoffs at key interfaces.
