Employment Type: Part-Time position, Monday through Friday. Work hours will fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., not to exceed 29 hours per week.
Burke is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Support Staff member for the Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, TX. The primary responsibility of this position is document scanning and electronic health record (EHR) management to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of clinical records.
While scanning is the central function of the role, the position may also provide limited front-office support and interact with consumers, visitors, and staff as needed.
Primary ResponsibilityScan, upload, and accurately index documents into the electronic health record (EHR) system
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with documentation standards
Interact professionally with consumers and visitors when providing front-office support
Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system as needed
Assist with data entry and record processing
Support clinical and administrative staff with miscellaneous office duties
Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum of one (1) year of office experience
Experience in a medical or mental health-related setting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to manage confidential information
Ability to maintain professional working relationships
Valid Texas driver’s license
Driving record insurable by Burke’s insurance administrator
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Walking, bending, kneeling, and driving as needed
Adequate vision, hearing, speech, and hand/finger dexterity
