Job Description
The HR Generalist will lead and direct our clients’ human resources function to support the company’s business initiatives as outlined by the Sr. Leadership Team. Will be responsible for handling disputes of employees /workers at the warehouse, recruiting, compensation, payroll, employee benefits, employee relations, Workers Comp Insurance, and compliance with all Federal & State employment laws and regulations. Support needed in Secaucus & East Hanover (EH) NJ Locations, 2-3x in the EH facility.
Background Required:
Broad human resource experience in multiple functional areas (4-5+ years)
Strong knowledge of compensation plans, employee benefits programs & payroll processing-Paychex, ADP
Strong knowledge of Federal & State employment and labor laws and regulations
Cultivate strong relationships with recruiters and temporary staffing agencies
Succession planning (non-exempt and exempt levels)
Strong recruitment & talent acquisition skills
Employee induction and employee file administration
Design & implementation of training, recruiting, onboarding & development programs
Weekly Payroll Processing
Employee reviews
Problem-conflict resolution
Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Residence: NJ
Background Preferred (but not required):
Freight forwarding, transportation or warehousing industry
Professional Certification in Human Resources (not mandatory)
Other essential abilities and skills:
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Change management
Excellent organizational skills and diligence
Compensation structure:
Base: $75-85k
Bonus: Discretionary
Allowances: Laptop & Cell Phone

Bachelor’s (Preferred)
